Problems with the ISY....

Well about a month ago I started having problems with my ISY. I couldn't get it to work from the web GUI Admin interface, but it was still working with the HomeSeer plugin as a way to control the devices. I just wasn't able to add any new ones. Eventually the ISY itself completely failed and no longer was even communicating with HomeSeer. Tech support for the ISY was great, very responsive to my support call and we tried several different things to resolve the problem. Finally they decided to try replacing the ISY unit itself. They sent me out a replacement, I connected it to my PLM and did a Restore ISY from the Admin screen and after about 15 min the system was back up and running and working correctly! Very good support from the UDI!

Now that the ISY is working 100% again, I added the Insteon Motion sensor I bought a while back. So far it works great and very fast response into HomeSeer and DooMotion! I have to play with it more to understand the 5 different jumpers on the unit and what they do. Also trying to understand the additional devices in HS for Dusk/Dawn and Low Batt. It appears that HS shows the device On when it is Dusk (Dark out). And the Low Batt. is also showing on with a new battery installed. Curious if this item turns off when the battery gets weak? Would be nice if it showed approx battery level vs just on/off.

Replacement ISY is still running just fine. The Insteon Motion sensor works great, just still need to find how to reset the low battery level on the HS plugin, the ISY shows the battery fine, but HS is still showing the status as ON or needs replacement.

I'm still running the 2.7.0 official released firmware version, haven't bitten the bullet and tried installing a BETA release of 2.7.7 or 2.7.9 yet. I see that 2.7.10 Alpha release is available now.
